I took this picture on a holiday in northern Germany. The old sheep shared its paddock with two donkeys and two goats who seemed to enjoy each other's company. The sheep didn't take much notice of what was going on and didn't move at all during the time I stayed there. At first sight I had the impression it wasn't very well looked after but then this didn't fit the rest of the scene. Looking at the picture now i think we look at an old sheep resting at the end of a long and good life - sharing it's shelter with other ungulates.
